Mezquita de Córdoba: A series of 8 photographs depicting elements of the original Muslim art that decorated the interior of the Mezquita. The Catholic makeover actually highlights how tacky much of the Christian religious art can be. Ironically, their juxtapositioning makes the case for avoiding human or ‘god’ images in art. Then again, it is rather the opposite when you see the Byzantine mosaics which were left by the Muslims when they took over the Hagia Sofia in Istanbul.
