Fourth Gay Conference Toronto 1976
The Fourth Annual Gay Conference held in Toronto on Labor Day Weekend 1976, attracted 250 delegates from 40 lesbian and gay organizations across the country, including as well, many local Toronto participants. The conference struggles to shape the agenda of the recently founded National Gay Rights Coalition and address other issues such as lesbian autonomy and Quebec independence. About 400 people too part in a march from Allan Gardens to Toronto City Hall on the afternoon of Saturday, September 4th as a publicly visible demonstration/celebration part of the event.
